The Bendspinner starts like step 1 of the American Spin.

The man leads the lady to move forwards-left on her left foot, rotate 90o anticlockwise (with weight on her left leg) and kneel down on her right knee — by bringing his left hand (and the lady's right hand) to his right below waist height — as he moves forwards-right on his right foot, rotates 90o clockwise (with weight on his right leg) and kneels down on his left knee.
Some dancers will do stylised arms when knelt down, i.e. the outside upper arm is horizontal, with the forearm vertical.

The man leads the lady to stand up from the kneeling position and spin 450o clockwise (with weight on her right leg) — by drawing her right hand backwards and releasing the lady's right hand from his left hand — as he also stands up and spins 450o anticlockwise (with weight on his left leg).
The Bendspinner ends like steps 4–5 of the American Spin.
