Double-Handed Swizzlestick (4 counts ; 8 musical beats) : Brief Description

The Double-Handed Swizzlestick is a very quick Basket type move, with an immediate exit — with the lady turning in front of the man.

Steps

1: (Step back)

The man leads the lady to move backwards (stepping back on her right foot in preparation for an anticlockwise rotation) — by pushing her right hand slightly with his left hand — as he moves backwards and offers his right hand for the lady to take his right hand in her left hand.

2: ()

The man leads the lady to move forwards and turn 270o anticlockwise (with weight on her left leg) under his left hand (and the lady's right hand) — by raising his left hand (and the lady's right hand) from waist height to above her head — as he moves forwards and prevents her turning further by locking her hip with his right arm (and her left arm) as it tightens around her waist.

3: ()

The man leads the lady to move right and turn 630o clockwise (with weight on her right leg) under his left hand (and the lady's right hand) — by releasing her right hip after pulling it slightly with his right hand to unwind her.

4: (Step back)

The man leads the lady to finish the turn (placing weight onto her left foot as a brake and then stepping back on her right leg) — by pushing her right hand slightly with his left hand and pushing her left hand slightly with his right hand — as he lowers his left hand (and the lady's right hand) and lowers his right hand (and the lady's left hand) to waist height and moves backwards.

5: (Finish)
