The Monkee Walks is the strange walk that the four members of “The Monkees” do in the opening credits of their 1960's TV shows — there's a definite “pantomime cow” feel to the move.

Steps

1–2

The Monkee Walks starts like steps 1–2 of the Open First Move.

3: (Twist out)

The man leads the lady to rotate 180+o clockwise (with weight on her left leg) so that she ends stepped back on her right foot — by releasing her right hand after pushing it slightly with his left hand to his right, across the lady — as he rotates slightly clockwise (with weight on his left leg) so that he ends stepped back on his right foot — in the same orientation as the lady.

4: (Step across lady)

The man leads the lady to move forwards and step out to her right with weight on her right leg — by bringing the lady's weight forwards by pushing slightly on the lady's back with his right arm, and then moving the lady to her right by pushing her left hip with his right hip — as he moves forwards, stepping out to his right with weight on his right leg (around the lady's left leg, so that the man's right leg is across the lady's left leg, and so that his right foot is placed between the lady's left and right feet)

5: (Step across man)

The man leads the lady to move forwards and step out to her left with weight on her left leg (around the man's right leg, so that the lady's left leg is across the man's right leg, and so that her left foot is placed between the man's left and right feet) — — by bringing the lady's weight forwards by pushing slightly on the lady's back with his right arm, and then moving the lady to her left by pulling her right waist with his right hand — as he moves forwards, stepping out to his left with weight on his left leg

6: (Step across lady)

The man leads the lady to move forwards and step out to her right with weight on her right leg — by bringing the lady's weight forwards by pushing slightly on the lady's back with his right arm, and then moving the lady to her right by pushing her left hip with his right hip — as he moves forwards, stepping out to his right with weight on his right leg (around the lady's left leg, so that the man's right leg is across the lady's left leg, and so that his right foot is placed between the lady's left and right feet)
