The man leads the lady to move backwards — by pushing her right hand slightly with his right hand — as he moves backwards-left off the lady's line, leaving it free for her to step forwards.

The man leads the lady to move forwards and to take his left hand in her left hand — by pulling her right hand slightly with his right hand — as he moves forwards so that the lady comes into his right side.

Some men signal the Nigel's Move by placing their left arm in a hammerlock position, making their left hand available near their right waist, for the lady to take his left hand in her left hand.

The man leads the lady to rotate 180^o clockwise (with weight on her right leg) — by bringing his right hand (and the lady's right hand) across to his right and then releasing the lady's right hand from his right hand.
