The Spring Lock is similar to a double-handed swizzlestick, except that the hands are crossed, giving a very fast “lock” as the lady turns in.

The man leads the lady to move backwards (stepping back on her right foot in preparation for an anticlockwise rotation) — by pushing her right hand slightly with his right hand — as he moves backwards and offers his left hand over the right-to-right handhold for the lady to take his left hand in her left hand.

The man leads the lady to move forwards slightly and rotate 180+o anticlockwise (with weight on her left leg) — by pulling her right hand slightly with his right hand and raising his right hand (and the lady's right hand) from waist height shoulder height — as he moves forwards-right and rotates 90o clockwise (with weight on his right leg) so that the lady finishes her turn by the man blocking her rotation with his left arm (and her left arm).

The man leads the lady to move forwards-right and rotate 180+o clockwise (with weight on her right leg) — by pulling her left hand slightly with his left hand and pushing the lady's back with his left arm in a springing motion — as he moves forwards-right and rotates 90o anticlockwise (with weight on his left leg) and lowers his right hand (and the lady's right hand) to waist height.
